Dear all but especially Kees,
We (Father with 2 kids, 11 and 13 years old) have been visiting this campsite for a period of 10 days in July 2008 and appreciated it very much. Though it is not very big and luxurous, it has everything you need for a relaxed holiday.
The campsite has wide and clean lots, and offers many good sites for both sun- and shadeseekers.
The washrooms are clean but in high season the capacity is not so big. But so what, it is holiday-time and what does it matter to wait for another 3 minutes...
The lake is just gorgeous and became very well suited to swim in. 23 degrees in the end of June is not bad for Sweden... We made nice canoe tours on the lake where you will hardly meet anybody else. Just take care for all the fishermen ashore.
Camping owner Kees offers every morning fresh buns for sale, so you won''t starve during the morning. There are small supermarkets closeby and the big ones in Karlskrona are just 20-25
minutes away.
It would be nice if there could be some more activities organised, e.g. biking or canoe trails. If you find the right people however you can join the nice and warm campfires at the lakeside. And don't forget to pick fresh berries. Have fun in Stensjoo!
